Parents Reaching Out Grants


Parents play a vital role in publicly funded education. Ontario's Parents Reaching Out grants are designed to encourage parents' involvement in their children's education and to support student learning at the school, regional and provincial levels.

There are two types of grants:

The application period is now open for the 2009-10 Parents Reaching Out grants. The deadline is October 16 2009.


In 2008-09, the government is funding over 1,300 projects with grants totalling nearly $2 million. Since 2006, the government has awarded almost 4,000 grants to school councils and over 150 regional grants – a total investment of $8 million to increase parent involvement.
